Safeguarding
Safeguarding and Child Protection should always be a consideration for anyone looking to enroll themselves or more importantly their child into any sports or martial arts club, more awareness of the need for safeguarding in sport means more people ask about a club's safeguarding and child protection provision, before joining.
The BJJKO provide Safeguarding support to all our instructors and members for complete peace of mind,
leaving instructors to get on with what they do best.
Good Safeguarding skills, ensure that a Martial Arts club is safer and more appealing to new students looking for a quality club, and parents looking to enroll their child.
Our Lead Safeguarding Officer acts as an independent contact for clubs, offers advice and support, deals with complaints or mediation, ultimately our service makes for a simple solution and a way to protect all our members.
In the UK, all sports or martial arts organisation that has contact with children or vulnerable adults must have a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) This is considered a legal requirement under their duty of care, outlined in the Children Act 2004.
